VPS Hosting General

What is VPS networking and how do I configure a static IP?

VPS networking provides your virtual server with one or more public IPv4 addresses (and optionally IPv6) for internet access. A static IP is permanently assigned to your VPS and does not change — essential for DNS records pointing to your server, email reputation (SPF records reference your IP), and remote access security (whitelist your static VPS IP in firewall rules). Connect Quest assigns a static IPv4 to every VPS. Configure networking on Ubuntu: edit /etc/netplan/50-cloud-init.yaml with your IP, gateway, and DNS servers, then run netplan apply. Check your IP: curl ifconfig.me. Request additional IPs via Connect Quest support (+91 2269711150) for load balancer setups or IP reputation isolation. IPv6 available on request — dual-stack configuration supported on all Connect Quest VPS. Manage network settings at connectquest.co.in.
