What is DNSSEC and how do I enable it for my domain?
DNSSEC (Domain Name System Security Extensions) cryptographically signs DNS records, preventing DNS spoofing attacks where attackers intercept DNS queries and redirect users to fraudulent websites. Without DNSSEC, someone could redirect users looking for yourbank.com to a phishing site. With DNSSEC, the DNS response includes a digital signature verifiable against a public key published in DNS. Enable DNSSEC at Connect Quest domain management: navigate to your domain, find DNSSEC settings, enable it, and a DS record is automatically published. If using Cloudflare nameservers, enable DNSSEC in Cloudflare dashboard > DNS > DNSSEC. DNSSEC is especially important for banking, healthcare, and government domains. After enabling, validate with: dnssec-analyzer.tmd.co.uk or dnsviz.net. Not all TLDs support DNSSEC — .com, .in, .org all support it. Available for eligible domains at connectquest.co.in.
